"Laws alone can not secure freedom of expression; in order that every man present his views without penalty there must be spirit of tolerance in the entire population." - Albert Eintstein
The way in which you interpret this quote may indeed be far from my own interpretation. However the freedom of expression to the artist is more meaningful than perhaps to a mathematician. Expression to an artist such as myself is a nescesity. Without freedom of expression we wouldn't have things like abstract art or poetry. The symbolism used by the artist has underlying personal meaning that to them is important, just as illustrating for others the way they see the world and its beauty is important. If the world were unaccepting of unique views on life our society would be so drastically changed that we may not even be able to imagine how it would be. To me without the freedom of expression life would have less meaning and therefor have a dull finess.
I totaly agree Ash, because if there wasnt any way to express yourself all of the people in the world would you probably be almost the same. Nobody would be unique. I like to be unique not like another person.
